Drawing Tablet for Mac Powerpoint 2011

After the conference, I'm intrigued about flipping the lectures.  I don't have a iPad or a tablet PC.  I know you can buy a Wacom Bamboo Splash Pen Tablet to give your computer tablet functionality, but I've read that it doesn't work with Powerpoint 2011 for the Mac.  Does anyone have any experience with this drawing tablet or another drawing tablet for drawing on Powerpoint 2011 slides for the Mac.  Thanks a bunch.

EasyOChem

Does anybody use EasyOChem (http://www.easyochem.com/moodle/)?  I stumbled onto it as I was looking for a way to let students draw structures in Moodle.  It seems to provide that capability, but it looks like it all happens on THEIR servers instead of allowing instructors to use their institutional Moodle servers.  I am a little nervous about the system because it seems to have amazing capabilities without costing a dime.  I figure they need a way to make money, and I am concerned about how that works.  If you have used this system, please shar

EasyOChem set-up

I am working with my IT department to install the EasyOChem plugins for Moodle.  Can anyone provide me with some guidance as to what we need to download from the GitHub site?  I assume that we will need to download the question types and the MarvinJS editor.  Is there anything else?

What size white boards to you recommend for group problem solving with 3-4 students per group?  I'm looking for small enough to be shared but large enough to be viewed by everyone in a 40-person classroom.  I hope to eventually move to iPads, but that just isn't a reality for the coming term.

MarvinJS and Openbabel Interface

Checkout the MarvinJS interface to openbabel I implemented HERE.

Draw a structure on the left, choose a file type and click export.

You can devise short answer questions on your LMS.

For example "Provide the canonical smiles string for (R)-2-butanol?"

Provide instructions sending the student to the above link, they draw the structure, export to canonical smiles and paste into their answer field.

Organic Qualitative Analysis Software

Hi all!

Does anyone know of a program online that simulates the Organic qualitative analysis scheme?  At my previous institution we used a program called MacSQUALOR, I believe, but I can't find it anywhere because it is so old.

I'd prefer a free program (who wouldn't!), but I'd be open to a lower cost site license type program.

Any help is appreciated!

Reaction Explorer

Does anybody use Reaction Explorer?  Is it part of the regular old online homework system from Wiley?  Or is it something separate?  I have been reading about it and it sounds interesting.  I look forward to hearing about experiences others might have had with the product.
